Non-profit organization MAPS Music launches label in partnership with Color Red

Non-profit organization based in Vail, M. Philanthropic Society Anonymous (“MAPS”) announced the launch of its label. Go MAPS Music label proudly launches a steady stream of releases with Kory Montgomery’s digital single “Name Song”. The first single in a new series of Montgomery’s work will be released Friday, May 20, along with a performance on Fox 21’s Loving Local airing live from Colorado Springs, Colorado at 9:00 a.m. MST.

MAPS was launched in 2021 and led by Scott Rednor, Creative Director of MAPS and owner of Shakedown Bar, a Vail-based music venue. The band have transformed the venue space into a state-of-the-art recording studio to accommodate one-of-a-kind collaborations thanks to their strong roster of musicians, including Brothers Keeper, Nicki Bluhm, Ross James, Rob Eaton Jr., Tyler Grant, Keith Moseley, etc. MAPS has collaborated with Color Red, the Denver-based music platform and label founded by Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds, to power their label and distribute music releases worldwide. Both MAPS and Color Red are rooted in delivering high-quality original music from artists around the world and curating unique collaborations through a platform that ensures artists are recognized for their work.

Kory Montgomery’s “Name Song” is the perfect track to launch the label as it offers an introspective look at the thought process behind songwriting. The light and soulful melody takes listeners through their own ideas while tickling the brain with its wondrous vocal harmony and warm guitar tones. It serves as the perfect precursor to exploring the collaborations the Go MAPS label has helped foster and sits well within the collaborative spirit of the label.

“‘Name Song’ gives a ‘forest from the trees’ look at the songwriting process,” says Montgomery. “It pushes one to think how and why a given song might be written on a given day about a given person.”
